Rocket Panda Games Reveals Opening Theme Song for Phantom Breaker: Omnia

Rocket Panda Games and developer MAGES are excited to reveal the opening theme song for Phantom Breaker: Omnia, “Let it All Burn with vocals by singer, voice actor, YouTuber, and streamer, Amanda Lee, composed and arranged by Epsilon Zero with lyrics by Jamison Boaz (English singing voice of Aggrestuko):

you may recognize Amanda Lee from her roles as Elimine (Fire Emblem Heroes), Akiho Shinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura: C.C.), Junko Konno (Zombie Land Saga), and recently as Marin Kitagawa (My Dress-Up Darling).

Lee is also a well-known vocalist for her English cover of anime songs. Her cover videos have gathered a following of 1.9 million subscribers and 900+ million views, as well as 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. You can also hear her on the official soundtracks for League of Legends, Dragon Ball Super, Tokyo Ghoul: Re, and Umineko When They Cry: Gold Edition, and has also been featured on records for world-renowned American rapper Eminem (Kamikaze – “Good Guy”) and for American DJ Porter Robinson (Worlds – “Fellow Feeling”).

About Phantom Breaker Game:

The first Phantom Breaker game was developed and published by Mages Inc, formerly known as 5pb, for the Xbox 360 in June 2011. Two years later, in 2013 an arcade version of the game was released titled, “Phantom Breaker: Another Code“.

On February 27, 2013, a spinoff titled “Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds” was released and sold over 400,000 copies. On September 19, 2013, a new updated version of Phantom Breaker titled “Phantom Breaker: Extra” was released for the PS3. Though it was released in Japan, unliked the initial console version, this title was completely region-free. It also featured a rebalanced gameplay, new characters, new techniques, a new “Extra” fighting style, new stages, renewed background effects, and an online spectator mode.

Fast-forward to 2020, Rocket Panda Game announced it’ll be publishing a ‘massive updated version’ of the game, Phantom Breaker: Omnia. The game will feature the ability to choose between 3 fighting styles that will appeal to seasoned gamers while making the game accessible to newcomers. The game will feature 2 guest characters, Kurisu Makise from Steins; Gate and Rimi Sakihata from Chaos; Head, as well as 2 brand new characters created specifically for Phantom Breaker: Omnia.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia will be released on March 15th, 2022 for the following platforms: PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Steam (PC), with physical copies on PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch.

KAZHA | Hard Rock Band Making Headlines at Anime Cons

Anime Los Angeles has been bringing top hit musical guests such Stephanie Yanez, Raj Ramayya, and Lolita Dark in 2019 followed by, Japanese electronic dance music duo FEMM in 2020. This year’s musical guest was KAZAH!

​Kazha is a rock band founded by Japanese singer-songwriter Kazuha Oda and guitarist Hideki Matsushige in 2009. Since the release of their first album, Overture (2010) they’ve been touring around the U.S. making headlines in U.S. Anime Conventions such as Nan Desu Kan and Anime Los Angeles.

Kazha has also shared the stage with national artists such as George Lynch, Tracii Guns, LA Guns, Y&T, Tantric, and Trapt. Moving their base of operations to Memphis, TN in 2015, they’ve been featured on local broadcasts such as WREG News Channel 3, Channel 24, and WMC Action News 5.

We had the honor of interviewing lead vocalist, Kazuha Oda, and hearing her story behind the formation of KAZHA!

Bushiroad x Little Tokyo: Eat At Little Tokyo D4DJ Event!

Bushiroad and popular Japanese anime shop, Anime Jungle have teamed in order to help support small business in the Little Tokyo district in Los Angeles, California.

Bushiroad known for its popular card game, Cardfight!! Vanguard and the music media franchise BanG Dream! They have teamed up with local businesses in the Little Tokyo area to, not only promote their latest project D4DJ -(Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) but to also help out businesses that are suffering during the COVID19 pandemic.

D4DJ -(Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) is a new music media franchise created by Bushiroad. It features the creative talents of Japanese novelist and scriptwriter,, Kō Nakamura (Crying 100 Times, Tori Girl) and Takaaki Kidani as the executive producer. The franchise will focus on DJing and remixing different music genre with electronic dance music.

Much like BanG! Dream, It consists of a rhythm game D4DJ Groovy Mix, music CDs, an anime series and an upcoming manga series. An English version of the rhythm game is currently in development and set to be release in 2021. Bushiroad announced worldwide streaming of the anime series via Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Sentai Filmworks, with plans for a Blu-ray release by Funimation in the future. The event will offer customers the chance to get D4DJ novelty items for every $10 spent at participating stores and restaurants white supplies last. Participating stores are listed on Anime Jungle’s official event page.

D4DJ Novelties Include, D4DJ promo poster and D4DJ band sticker (Each participating store/restaurant will carry different stickers of different D4DJ and BanG! Dream bands).

Based in Seattle Washington, Jim Walker has been producing music since 1986. Having had his music featured in the soundtrack for the 1987 film Three O’Clock High, Jim has produced over 32 Full-Length Albums, making Jim no stranger to the recording booth.

In 2004, Jim decided to try something different and with the help of his agent, Jim went to on to audition for the voice of one of Nintendo’s most popular character, Fox McCloud in Star Fox Assault. Star Fox Assault was released in 2005 and was the second Star Fox game to feature both shoot’em up and run ‘n’ gun shooter genres, different game modes of its original games, Star Fox and Star Fox 64.

Though the game met with mixed reception, it went on to become a childhood favorite among Star Fox fans of today, many praising the game’s soundtrack and Fox’s English performance.

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 OST Released! |Nobuko Toda x Kazuma Jinnouchi

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, the latest installment in the highly-acclaimed Ghost in the Shell series, is currently available worldwide on Netflix.

The Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 original soundtrack was released today. The Soundtrack was composed by Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi.

Using a combination of elements from orchestral, acoustic, and electronic genres, they have created scores for numerous films, video games, and anime including, the Metal Gear Solid series, Uzumasa Limelight, Halo 5: Guardians, and Ultraman. The musical duo had the following comments about the release of the Ghost in the Shell SAC:_2045 soundtrack:

“We are sincerely grateful to be part of the creative team for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.

It was such an inspiring process to work with the wonderful director duo, Mr. Kamiyama, and Mr. Aramaki, and our focus was to deliver music that maximizes their vision. We hope the soundtrack album lets you relive the still-evolving world of SAC_2045.”

Over the last two decades, the duo have received numerous awards and honors including the BAFTA Games Award, NAVGTR Awards, Global Music Award, and MPSE Golden Reel Award.

The Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 soundtrack also features renowned musicians such as legendary drummer Simon Phillips (pictured below), a former member of the band Toto, and Ernest Tibbs, the bassist from the Protocol Series.

SAC_2045 directors Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama the had the following to say about working with Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi,

“We first met Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi during the production of Ultraman (2019), and they fulfilled our requests so perfectly that it only felt natural to invite them to do the music for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. As the first members of staff to objectively read our work, they thoroughly studied the scenario and storyboard and then began proposing ideas for the music, so we always looked forward to music meetings and dubbing sessions. Once again, they exceeded our expectations, and we were surprised by the depth of their knowledge. We look forward to seeing what they are going to come up with for season 2!”

Virtual-popstar idol, Hatsune Miku is back in the U.S. for the 5th anniversary of MIKU EXPO; Miku Expo 2020 USA & Canada!

You may remember Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin, and Kagamine Len made their U.S. debut at Anime Expo 2011’s Mikunopolis.

Since then, they’ve been touring in and out of the U.S., having in a total of 4 concerts within the U.S. in the last 9 years; Miku Expo 2014, Miku Expo 2016 North America, & Miku Expo 2018 USA & Mexico.

Since making her first U.S. debut, Miku has landed in the mainstream media spotlight, even being featured in other U.S. media, such as ‘The late-night show with David Letterman‘ and was also the opening act for Lady Gaga’s 2014 worldwide tour, The Artpop Ball.
