‘Call of the Night’ Season 2 Brings Supernatural Romance Back to HIDIVE This Summer

Summer nights are about to get bloodier—and steamier.
AMC Networks’ HIDIVE is turning up the heat this July with the exclusive return of the hit vampire romance Call of the Night for its long-awaited Season 2, premiering as part of the Summer 2025 simulcast lineup.

Adapted from Kotoyama’s award-winning manga, Call of the Night became an instant fan favorite with its atmospheric blend of late-night urban loneliness and electric supernatural chemistry between its lead couple—Ko, a high school insomniac, and Nazuna, the playful, unpredictable vampire who’s anything but your average bloodsucker. Now, the next chapter in their story is ready to unfold.

A Love Story in the Shadows Deepens

Season 2 picks up as Ko finally comes to terms with his feelings—and his fate. Accepting that he wants to become a vampire, Ko confesses he “likes” Nazuna. But Nazuna, still hilariously unfamiliar with the concept of love, responds the only way she knows how: by attempting to make Ko fall for her. Chaos, heartbeats, and late-night escapades ensue.

Meanwhile, Detective Anko Uguisu sharpens her fangs—figuratively speaking. Determined to purge the vampire threat, she sets her sights on Nazuna and others like her. As the story dives deeper, dark truths begin to surface: What is Nazuna’s hidden past? What secret do Anko and Nazuna share? And what happens when a vampire forgets the human life they once lived?

HIDIVE has announced the addition of Rock is a Lady’s Modesty to its exclusive simulcast lineup for Spring 2025. The coming-of-age drama, which centers around the world of intense rock music, will premiere on April 3, 2025, and will be available exclusively on HIDIVE.

“We’re excited to add Rock is a Lady’s Modesty to our Spring 2025 simulcast line-up,” said John Ledford, President of HIDIVE. “This series combines captivating music with a powerful coming-of-age story, making it a must-watch for anime fans this spring.”

– Via Press Release

Set in an elite all-girls’ academy, the story follows Lilisa Suzunomiya, the daughter of a real estate tycoon, who is forced to give up her guitar and rock music to conform to her new life after her mother’s remarriage. However, Lilisa’s passion for music is reignited when she hears the sounds of a skilled drummer in an old school building. Together, they embrace their inner rockstars, challenging the refined traditions of the academy in this gripping tale of grace, rebellion, and self-discovery.

Based on the seinen manga series by Hiroshi Fukuda, Rock is a Lady’s Modesty began serialization in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine in October 2022 and has since been collected in six volumes. The anime adaptation is directed by Shinya Watada, with writing by Shogo Yasukawa, character design by Risa Miyadani, and production by BN Pictures. The series stars Akira Sekine as Lilisa Suzunomiya and Miyuri Shimabukuro as Otoha Kurogane.
